About
I’m Josh Olin, aka JD_2020. I was Treyarch’s Community Manager for 4 years on Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: World at War, Modern Warfare: Reflex, Quantum of Solace, and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.
I left Treyarch in September of 2011 to pursue bigger and better career opportunities. I’ve also since decided it is time to start a blog, to put any rants or idle narrative as I navigate through the industry.
Please follow me on Twitter, @JD_2020, as it’s the best way to reach out and interact with me!
#BlameJD?
“Blame JD” is a meme started in 2010 by Kona of Kona’s Korner. He even went so far as to print shirts with my face on it, stating “It’s all my fault”, poking fun at the general hate community managers in the gaming industry tend to receive.
The meme was furthered by @Whiteboy7thst, in his incessant berating of me in his YouTube videos. Again, humorous and in good spirit, but any time anything would not go his way in a match (say a knife lunge failed, or he simply botched a Tomahawk throw), he’d cuss me out as at fault
